Purpose/Mission
CCCS is a non-profit community service organization and a member of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit. Our purpose is to offer assistance through educational workshops regarding budget planning and money management and assist families and individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties in planned debt liquidation through counseling.
CCCS is accredited by the Council on Accreditation
of Services for Families and Children
Counseling
CCCS offers reverse mortgage (RM) counseling. A RM can be utilized as a resource to assist a homeowner in remaining in their home. Certain qualifications must be met to be eligible for a RM. (A counseling certificate is required for all RM loans.)
CCCS also provides one-on-one credit and budget counseling to individuals and families who are struggling financially. For budget/credit counseling, a budget information worksheet must be completed prior to the session. This is used during the counseling session to review the financial situation and explore the options that may be available.
Counseling services can be done either in-person or by telephone by appointment.
