Emergency Alert Services
The following emergency alert services are particularly helpful for those trying to live at home despite chronic illness or disability.
Lifeline
Lifeline is an emergency call system that offers security and peace of mind to those who spend much of their time alone. If the user falls or otherwise needs assistance while alone in their home, they simply press the Lifeline emergency call button to summon help.

Project Lifesaver
Project Lifesaver uses advanced search technology to quickly find someone who has wandered and become lost. Project Lifesaver protects the wandering individual and gives peace of mind to caregivers, families and communities.
If you are caring for someone who is at risk of wandering because of Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, or any other reason, contact Sheriff Glen Kochanowski at the Saline County Sheriff’s Office at 785-826-6500 to learn more about Project Lifesaver.

Code Red
The City of Salina and Saline County have instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows local officials to telephone all or targeted areas of the City and County in case of an emergency that requires immediate attention. When an emergency occurs, a recorded message will be delivered to a live person or an answering machine.
Follow this link to learn more about Code Red and check to see if your phone number is on the list to be called in an emergency situation.
