How do I get help?

Call the Home Support Services office at 823-7555 for a no-obligation discussion of your needs and wants. If it appears we can help, we will schedule a free in-home visit to develop a detailed plan of service.

How do you select the workers who come into my home?

We have a simple rule of thumb: we only hire Home Support Specialists we would want to have in the homes of our own loved ones and family members. All Home Support Specialists have passed a criminal background check, physical examination, and drug screen, in addition to personal interviews and reference checks. Staff are bonded, insured, and provided with ongoing training.

What does it cost?

Most services are $12.50/hour with a 2 hour minimum. Long-term care insurance accepted. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

Who can receive Home Support Services?

Private-pay services are available to any Saline County resident age 21 or older, regardless of age, income or disability (those who seek financial assistance paying for services do have to meet specific eligibility criteria, depending on the source of the assistance).

Do you provide in-home medical care?

No. If you need medical care or hands-on personal care, we will refer you to a licensed home health agency for that type of assistance.

Why use Home Support Services?

  • Convenience: you don’t have to go through the hassles of hiring someone yourself, nor do you have to deal with employer taxes and obligations

  • Flexibility: you get help that is tailored to your individual needs, wants and habits

  • Peace of mind: you get help that is caring, reliable, trustworthy and competent

  • Value: you get the services you need at a reasonable cost, and the help you get may prevent or delay the need for more expensive changes in your lifestyle
