Transportation OptionsThere are two ways to get your loved one to and from Sunflower Adult Day Services: bring them yourself, or – for those who live in Salina – use the OCCK door-to-door public transportation service.Our facility features a drive-through covered garage. You can drop off and pick up your loved one with full protection from the Kansas weather. OCCK operates a door-to-door public transportation service in Salina from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Rides are provided in wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and drivers are able to help riders who need assistance getting on and off the vehicle. Current cost is $2 per one-way ride. This means $2 to get to Sunflower and $2 to get back home later in the day. Fees may be paid when getting on the vehicle, or you may purchase a supply of ride coupons in advance from OCCK. Because of the popularity of the OCCK public transportation service, it is important to schedule rides well in advance. To schedule rides, or to arrange to purchase ride coupons, call OCCK at 785-827-9383 and ask for public transportation.
